MEET THE TEAM
Dave Lundahl
CEO & Founder
Dr. Dave Lundahl is passionate about fostering innovation to create a cleaner, healthier world. He is an entrepreneur—founding companies that follow this passion by providing consumer insights for faster and more successful innovation. Dave has held many industry leadership positions, written for various publications, and is sought for speaking engagements on topics that align with his passions. He served as a professor working in food product innovation at Oregon State University before starting InsightsNow in 2003. Dave holds a Master of Science degree in Statistics and a Doctorate in Food Science & Technology. He enjoys creating and sharing music as a singer-songwriter as well as playing racquetball, skiing, flyfishing and hiking.
Greg Stucky
Chief Research Officer
Greg Stucky has focused his career on the development of new methods, techniques and services for research innovations. His deep experience in the application of consumer behavior to product innovation has garnered industry attention and awards, with work featured in Harvard Business Review, The LA Times, ESOMAR World, and other industry publications. Greg has pioneered cue signals research, an approach where identifying product cues which motivate specific behaviors helps develop successful new products and brands. At InsightsNow, he is responsible for the growth of new business initiatives. Greg holds a master’s degree in food science and technology from Oregon State University. He enjoys backpacking trips into the wilderness, bowhunting, competitive taekwondo, exploring countries around the world and relaxing with his wife, glass of wine and bible.
Jim Smith
Chief Financial Officer
Jim Smith strives to implement and improve cost-effective, efficient processes to improve cycle times with improved internal organizational visibility which he feels are key to organizational success. At InsightsNow, he manages finance, human resources, contracts and information services. Jim holds a master’s degree in business administration from Seattle University and is a Washington State Certified Public Accountant. He enjoys skiing, hiking, kayaking and fishing.
KRISTEN DALE
Vice President Client Partnerships
Kristen Dale is an entrepreneurial leader with deep marketing research expertise with more than 25 years’ focus on the verticals of consumer packaged goods, food service and media, with a passion for innovation and emerging methods. She values developing and cultivating strategic partnerships with organization leaders and collaborating with client teams developing strategic solutions to answer complex business issues in an ever-changing consumer environment and differentiate brands in a crowded marketplace. She holds a degree in marketing with a concentration in research management. Kristen loves introducing her teenage son to ’80s movies and watching old Columbo episodes with her husband; second to that is her passion for the Cubs.
Kristin Wright
Vice President, Operations, Research & Insights
Kristin Wright has specialized in driving product innovation and research in the food industry over the past 25 years of her career. She is passionate about building teams, research tools and innovative capabilities that help people and the planet be healthier and happier. At InsightsNow, Kristin leads the Research & Insights team to design and deliver high-impact research based in behavior science. Previously, as a leader of External Technology Acquisition and Technical Consumer Research at The Coca-Cola Company, Kristin and her teams enabled future-focused growth, created insights to inspire innovation, and protected more than 20 global billion-dollar brands. She holds a master’s degree in food science—specializing in sensory science and statistics—from Cornell University. Kristin loves cooking and baking for her family, being outdoors, running and playing tennis, as well as cheering for her undergraduate alma mater, the Oregon State Beavers.
Carrie Janot
Vice President of Marketing
Led by a passion for providing client value, Carrie Janot is an accomplished marketer with a career spanning 20+ years. After working in financial services and real estate, she pursued information services at Experian as big data boomed. Spanning nearly ten years with the firm, Carrie was responsible for all facets of marketing. She specializes in B2B with expertise in building brand awareness, driving demand, and increasing revenue. Carrie holds a bachelor of science in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Boston University. In addition, she is certified in high-performance ambition leadership, marketing automation, pragmatic marketing, and agile marketing. Carrie loves to cook fresh, healthy meals for her family. She enjoys the outdoors, from hiking in the redwoods to stand-up paddleboarding in the bay.
Ann Bracken
Senior Director of Business Development
Ann Bracken prides herself in becoming an extension of her client’s team to really know and understand their initiatives—allowing her to help design truly actionable research that uncovers key insights to grow business. She brings more than 25 years of experience in consumer research in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, supporting top CPG companies across several categories including food, household cleaning, personal care and retail. At InsightsNow, Ann partners and consults with clients on business issues by working to develop meaningful research. Ann holds a master’s degree in business administration with a focus on marketing. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, vacationing to anywhere there is a beach and watching her daughter and teammates play softball and basketball.
Christina Holstein
Senior Director, Client Partnerships
Christina Holstein is passionate about people, relationships, and research, and loves to create meaningful connections and conversations through active listening and deep collaboration. In her various professional roles, Christina has acted as a trusted advisor and partner—designing research in response to business needs to deliver actionable, impactful insights that drive growth. Previously with Ipsos, she now brings her experience to the InsightsNow team from across a range of industries including consumer packaged goods, consumer electronics, personal health care and retail. Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, engaging in competitive rounds of board games, puzzling, cooking new and interesting recipes, reenacting a scene or two from her favorite musical, and beach vacations.
Sara Yang
Senior Director, Client Partnerships
Sara is a hybrid thinker, bringing experience from the worlds of research and insights, corporate strategy, product development, and manufacturing at scale to help solve business problems.
She is a graduate of the University of Georgia (BSA, 2012) and the University of California Davis (PhD, 2018), where she completed her doctorate in Food Science, with a focus on sensory and consumer science. In her free time, Sara enjoys exploring new foods and cultures, practicing yoga, playing with her dog Ruby, and getting lost in the great outdoors.
Kimberley Greenwood
CFS, Senior Research Director
Kimberley A. Greenwood has focused her career on understanding and translating behavioral and sensory research into actionable insights. She brings a high level of analytical skills, collaboration and sense of urgency to her work and finds joy in helping others achieve success. Her early career with companies like MillerCoors, ConAgra and Gallo Winery make her uniquely positioned to support, nurture and empathize with clients. For InsightsNow, she has led the charge away from traditional sensory-only studies to include implicit and hybrid techniques that deepen consumer and product understanding. Kimberley holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology with a concentration in Food Industry Management from Colorado State University. She gives back to her professional community through volunteerism for the Sensory Division of IFT (awarded Volunteer of the Year 2020), and the Minnesota branch of Society of Sensory Professionals. Kimberley is a Certified Food Scientist, trained sensory panel leader and enjoys cooking, wine tasting/pairing, being active and spending time with her family.
Stephen McIngvale
Senior Research Director
During his more than twenty-two years of experience in the research field, Stephen McIngvale has enjoyed partnering with cross-functional teams across many projects and a diverse array of product categories. Being an analytical thinker, he works to identify and prioritize key questions that need to be addressed and research options that would best provide the answers for further development and/or launch. As a former internal researcher for companies that include PepsiCo, WhiteWave Foods (now Danone), and Molson Coors Beverage Company, Stephen learned to apply his attention to detail and creativity to design customized approaches that deliver against the core research objectives while balancing efficiency with prior learning. Understanding that the consumer and product spaces are constantly changing, he enjoys exploring new methods that may provide effective guidance to development and marketing teams. Stephen holds a Bachelor and Master of Food Science and Technology degrees from Mississippi State University, as well as a certificate in Sensory & Consumer Research from UC Davis. Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he can often be found on one of the trails near his home, training for his next marathon.
Julie Quante
Senior Research Director
Julie Quante is an experienced consumer product researcher—from inception through analysis, reporting to communicating findings to stakeholders. She brings ingenuity, originality and resourcefulness to her work. As a Research Director at InsightsNow, Julie coordinates and facilitates studies for a multitude of consumer packaged goods companies and is heavily immersed in InsightsNow’s pioneering Clean Label Enthusiasts® community. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Industrial Management and holds a certification in Sensory and Consumer research from U.C. Davis. Julie enjoys spending time on the water wakeboarding and wakesurfing. She and her family are avid travelers which includes hiking, backpacking or skiing.
Amy Mahony
Senior Researcher, Qualitative Insights
Amy Mahony is an engaging and energetic qualitative researcher, with years of experience building successful brands through behavioral and emotional insights and an understanding of human beings. She leverages online and in-person focus groups, dyads/triads, one-on-one interviews, and ethnographic methods to meet research challenges. She loves incorporating new methods, tools and techniques to build creative research designs that lead research teams to breakthrough thinking, ideas and opportunities. Prior to joining InsightsNow, Amy was an internal researcher at PepsiCo, Solae (DuPont) and Taco Bell. She holds a master’s degree in sensory science, is RIVA Trained, versed in Creative Problem Solving (CPS) and a member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA). She loves to spend time outside with her family and dogs.
Jenny O’Connor
Qualitative Insights Researcher
Jenny O’Connor brings a wide range of market research experience to her work, with a specific background partnering with consumer packaged goods companies to design compelling and creative research and reporting. She has worked in a variety of research methods, both qualitative and quantitative. At InsightsNow, Jenny supports a variety of clients and research projects. She holds a master’s in business administration from Oregon State University. Her passion for long distance running has deepened her love for the outdoors and exploring new places.
Brian Briskey
Senior Director of Strategic Consulting
Brian Briskey joins InsightsNow as a highly collaborative strategist, known for his extensive use of strategic frameworks to visualize strategic options. He has practiced the Army Design Methodology and Strategic Foresight schools of thought, where he applied 4th Psychological Operations Group decision-making processes for the military. This background led to a career as a business consultant, advising entrepreneurs and business leaders to leverage offset strategies for product launch and market entry. Briskey is active with the Association of Strategic Planners and received an MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine with a focus on consumer insights and disruptive innovation.
