Position Summary

The Research Associate is a key member of the Consumer & Marketing Science (CMS) team, which conducts research to guide our clients in the development of successful products. The Research Associate will assist in the design of research projects, create survey instruments, interpret research results, and prepare reports.

The Research Associate reports to the CMS Director.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop questionnaires using Confirmit for online data collection and MS Word for client review
  • Validate and manage respondent data
  • Analyze data using proprietary software
  • Create and organize customized client-ready data files, tables, spreadsheets, and graphics to be incorporated into reports
  • Format client-ready reports
  • Review and verify quality of questionnaires and reports created by co-workers
  • Assist in research design and further interpretation of quantitative and qualitative research results

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in and contribute to special projects to improve research and other methods and processes, including training of co-workers
  • Miscellaneous other tasks may be assigned as needed

Requirements

  • Superb logic skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, including strong ability to communicate project details frequently and informally through email, text, and verbal communication with co-workers
  • Highly attentive to detail
  • Team attitude; ability to interact with multiple project coordinators
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite software and willingness to learn and master new software
  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced environment with tight timelines and multiple priorities
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Desired Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience in using Confirmit
  • HTML and Microsoft JScript coding ability

Education and Experience

  • BS or Equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years experience writing surveys or equivalent

  • Corvallis, Oregon – Headquarters office

Compensation

Compensation is a combination of salary and bonus earned through achievement of agreed objectives and Company profitability. Total compensation is based upon qualifications and results.
