Companies keep introducing product failures at incredibly high rates, change very little in terms of how they innovate, and then introduce more product failures.  According to a 2005 IRI study only 1 in 11 new products find success in the market.  In other words, 91% fail.

What if success rates could be improved by 1%?  2%?  5%?  Even 10%?  How much would that be worth?  That, in a nutshell, is what certainty offers.  If you can be more certain of everyday research, advanced research, early stage research, post-launch research—if you can be more certain of research, period, then you can be more certain of the innovation process.  That's our philosophy.  And that compels us to move towards certainty.
