The team at InsightsNow, Inc. is excited to welcome Jason McKerr as the new Director of Technology.  McKerr will take over the reins of the Technical Services and Support (TSS) Department which encompasses the software development team, the IT group, and the technological R&D staff.

McKerr’s many years of experience make him an exceptional resource for a company growing as quickly as InsightsNow is, but it is his personal commitment to mentoring and strengthening his employees that sets him apart from the rest.

Q: What past experiences have best prepared you for the role of Director of Technology?

"The cliché answer is all of them, but really I’ve spent my whole career in technology.  I started out as a software engineer and worked my way up.  The culmination of my past positions in both the financial and IT sectors have led me to where I’m at now.  And I also had good mentors throughout my career, which I think is critical.  A good mentor helps prevent you from hurting yourself while also helping you find the right way to do things.  It’s good to have the advice of people who have already learned the hard way to do things."

Q: What is the most valuable asset you bring to your team and/or the company as a whole?

"My foosball game [laughs] . . . but seriously I really like to build things and see things work, and I especially like to do that with technology.  My past success in helping to build organizations and technology is my biggest asset."

Q: Do you have specific plans and/or goals for your team?

"Well, I have lots of plans and goals.  The big goals are always to have fun and do good work. The more specific plans are centered on making technology a business enabler rather than a cost center.  Technology can be just a necessary department, or it can actually help you build the business and grow.  That’s one of my big plans for the team here at InsightsNow."
