InsightsNow: Caring for Our Community
InsightsNow contributes to the community in a variety of ways. See below for recent events that team members have been involved in.
The InsightsNow team participated in this year's United Way Day of Caring by sprucing up a local non-profit childcare business, The Corvallis Community Children's Center (CCCC). Employees participated in trimming bushes, mowing, spreading bark, and even painting the parking lot. In the words of LouAnn Spevacek, Executive Director of the center, “It was truly a Day of Giving."
InsightsNow was a 2007 sponsor for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) "Walk for a Cure" event. Our donation was collected by a local 4-H Llama club for their community service project.
About MS: Over 400,000 people have this chronic, progressive, sometimes fatal disease of the brain which strikes usually in the prime of life. There is currently no known cure for or way to prevent MS. Symptoms may include debilitating fatigue, numbness, inability to walk, loss of vision, compromised balance, memory loss, painful muscle spasms, tingling, tremors, decreased cognitive ability, weakness and complete paralysis. InsightsNow also recently sponsored the 2007 "Mothers Day Run/Walk for Safe Families" to support CARDV, a local agency that helps survivors of domestic violence. A team of InsightsNow employees, family members and friends participated in the event.
About CARDV: The Center Against Rape & Domestic Violence, is a private non-profit community service organization that has been serving Linn and Benton Counties in Oregon’s Willamette Valley for over 25 years. CARDV is dedicated to helping survivors of sexual and domestic violence and their children stay safe. Our services are free and confidential.
